In Loving Memory of
Marcel Mainville
December 20, 1940 - April 19, 2024
It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we announce the peaceful passing of the beloved patriarch of our family at Anson General Hospital on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Marcel was a dedicated miner by trade and worked at many mines in his lifetime including Pamour, Geco, Farley mine, East Malartic and a few more along the way.
Marcel was a simple man with a kind, selfless soul and a huge heart. His family meant the world to him. They were very important and cherished, as was his faith.
Marcel loved walking, and in the winter you could almost always see him with his trusty shovel, shoveling at home, his daughters, his church or anywhere else he could offer his help.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years Priscilla, his daughter Nicole (Bill predeceased), his son Daniel (predeceased) his son Gilles (predeceased). His daughter-in-law Yvette and his precious grandchildren Kayla (Jason), Brittany (Wayne) and Christopher (Josée). His beloved great-grandchildren Zoe-Anne, Audrey and 2 great-grandchildren on the way. As well as many extended family & friends.
As per his wishes there will be no funeral.
Marcel's family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the paramedics and the staff at Anson General Hospital, especially Dr. Chiang and the palliative care nurses. Thank you all for taking such exceptional care of him and going above and beyond for us. A big thank you to the auxiliary staff for the beautiful gift basket. And to Father Luc, we are grateful for your presence during this trying time. We also want to thank Irvine and Irvine, Jamie and Carine, for their kindness during these difficult times.
Tu n'es plus là où tu étais, mais tu es partout là où je suis. Ce n'est qu'un au revoir.
